Parks & Open Spaces

There are three facilities within the Parish which the Council is responsible for:-

The Peace Park on Church Street; The Recreation Ground on Gladstone Street and The Village Green on the High Street.

The Peace Park

Situated on Church Street this play park underwent extensive renovation in early 2016.

The Ringstead Community Group secured funding in the sum of £75,000 and new play equipment was purchased.

This park enjoys a dog exclusion zone for the benefit of the users of the play equipment.

It is a favourite for families and children.

The Recreation Ground

Situation at the top of Gladstone Street this recreation ground is a favourite for dog walkers.

Ringstead Rangers Football Club lease the grounds from the Parish Council for the use of their Football Matches. The Football Club undertake the grass cutting and maintenance of this area.

The Village Green

The Parish Council purchased the parcel of land on the junction of Cherry Street and High Street during 2016.

Within the terms of the purchase the developers agreed to prepare the ground.

The Parish Council then secured funding in the sum of £17,000 to plant the area and turn it into a Village Green. This work is still ongoing and plans are coming together.

The Parish Council anticipates a public opening of this garden in the summer of 2017.
